Fire Resistant High Alumina Brick 1770℃ Refractory Alumina Bricks For Ceramic Industry Furnace

High alumina bricks are silicon-aluminum-based refractory materials with an alumina content of ≥ 48%. They possess high strength, high temperature resistance (1750 - 1790℃), and resistance to erosion, and are widely used as inner linings in high-temperature industrial kilns such as those in metallurgy and ceramics.

The core definition and classification of high-alumina bricks

High alumina bricks are refractory bricks made by high-temperature sintering of high-alumina raw materials (such as bauxite). Their main components are alumina (Al₂O₃) and aluminum silicate. They are classified into four grades based on the content of alumina.

1.Super high alumina brick; Alumina content > 80% - used for critical high-temperature parts (such as the top of an electric furnace)
2.First-grade high alumina brick, alumina content 75%-80% - used for the lining of blast furnaces and hot air furnaces
3.Second-grade high alumina brick: alumina content 65%-75% - used for rotary kilns and reflector furnaces
4.Third-grade high alumina brick: alumina content 55%-60% - generally used for the walls of industrial kilns

Key performance indicators of high-alumina bricks

1.High-temperature resistance: Fire resistance range of 1750 - 1790℃, softening temperature under load of 1420 - 1550℃. Superior to clay bricks but inferior to silica bricks.
2.Physical properties: High compressive strength at room temperature, low apparent porosity (usually < 22%), strong resistance to acidic slag erosion, weak resistance to alkaline slag.
3.Thermal stability: Decreases with the increase of alumina content. Generally, water-cooled circulation is only 3 - 5 times.

Application fields and production processes

Main applications: metallurgy (blast furnaces, converters), ceramics (kiln linings), chemical industry (catalytic cracking furnaces), etc. for high-temperature equipment .
Production process: raw material grinding → mixing and molding → drying → high-temperature sintering (dry method or semi-dry method, semi-dry method can increase the density of the body).
