Ramming material refers to the unshaped refractory material that is constructed by ramming (manual or mechanical) and hardened under the action of heating above normal temperature. It is made by mixing refractory aggregates, powders, binders, additives, water or other liquids with a certain gradation.

Description

1. Product classification

Ramming materials are classified into high alumina, clay, magnesia, dolomite, zirconium and silicon carbide-carbon refractory ramming materials according to their materials. The ramming material is made of silicon carbide, graphite and electric calcined anthracite as raw materials, mixed with a variety of ultrafine powder additives, and made of fused cement or composite resin as a binder.

2. Product application

The ramming material is used to fill the gap between the furnace body cooling equipment and the masonry or the filling material for the leveling layer of the masonry. The ramming material has good chemical stability, erosion resistance, abrasion resistance, spalling resistance, thermal shock resistance, and is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical industry, machinery and other manufacturing industries.
