Silica Powder
Silicon powder, also called microsilica powder, is produced by collecting and processing the smoke and dust that escapes with the exhaust gas during the high-temperature smelting of industrial silicon and ferrosilicon in industrial electric furnaces.
Description

Silica fume is a fine powdery substance with silica as its main component. It is white or slightly yellow in color and has excellent thermal stability, mechanical strength and chemical stability. Silica powder is widely used in many fields. The following are some common silica powder products and their introduction:
1. Silicone rubber: Silicone powder is added to rubber products as a filler to enhance its physical properties and wear resistance. Silicone rubber is widely used in the manufacture of seals, insulation materials, molds, medical devices, etc.
2. Silica gel: Silica gel is a polymer material polymerized from silica powder and silane. It has excellent adsorption performance and chemical stability and is often used in the manufacture of various adsorbents, catalysts, moisture-proof agents, etc.
3. Diatomite: Diatomaceous earth is a natural silica powder material formed by the accumulation of silicon-rich microbial remains in the ocean. It has good adsorption properties and moisturizing properties, and is often used in the manufacture of cosmetics, water filtration materials, soil conditioners, etc.
4. Aluminum silicate: a mixture of silicon powder and aluminum powder, formed after high-temperature calcination. Aluminum silicate has good adsorption and catalytic properties and is often used to manufacture adsorbents, catalysts, fillers, etc.
5. Silicon particles: tiny particles formed after special treatment of silicon powder. Silicon particles have large specific surface area and adsorption capacity, and are often used in the manufacture of solar cells, electronic components, coatings, etc.

Silica powder has the following common product characteristics:
1. High temperature stability: It can maintain the stability of its physical and chemical properties in high temperature environments. This makes silica powder widely used in high-temperature applications, such as as an insulation material in high-temperature furnaces or as a filler to enhance the thermal stability of the material.
2. Mechanical strength: High mechanical strength can enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the material. Therefore, silica powder is often used as filler or reinforcing material in the manufacture of rubber products, plastic products and composite materials to improve their strength and durability.
3. Chemical stability: Microsilica powder has good corrosion resistance and chemical stability against most common chemicals, and can remain stable in various acid and alkali environments. It is widely used in the chemical industry, such as manufacturing catalysts, adsorbents and preservatives.
4. High specific surface area: This gives silica powder unique application advantages in adsorption, catalysis, filler and other fields. It can better react or contact other substances, increase reaction efficiency or improve material properties.
5. Lightweight material: The density is low, so materials made of silicon powder are usually lightweight. Widely used in aerospace, automotive industry and construction fields, such as lightweight structural materials, damping materials and thermal insulation materials.
