What Professional Skills Are Required For Refractory Bricks

Oct 26, 2021

Henan Lite refractory brick manufacturer will show you what skills in the professional field of refractory bricks

The joints of the bricks should be staggered during the construction of refractory bricks. The joints of the bricks should be filled with refractory mud (dry refractory powder for dry construction). The masonry must be protected from damp during the masonry process until it is put into production. In order to compensate for the volume shrinkage of the masonry after being heated, it is necessary to leave shrinkage joints in accordance with the design and standard requirements during masonry.

Henan Lite refractory brick masonry sub-furnace wall, furnace bottom, furnace roof, pipeline lining, refractory brick grid, combined brick masonry and shrinkage joints. The masonry furnace wall should be divided into two types: straight wall and arc wall according to its method. Before the straight wall is built, the base surface of the lowest layer of the furnace wall should be leveled, and the line should be laid out on the base of the furnace body or the steel structure according to the construction drawing. Measure the vertical and horizontal center lines of the furnace body and other reference lines, and accurately find the wall dimension lines under the guidelines of ensuring the dimensions of each part of the furnace body.

The masonry of the wall should be flat and vertical, and each layer of refractory bricks should be built with cables. The degree of brick layer of the wall is checked by a ruler and a horizontal ruler, and the verticality or inclination of the wall is checked by a model, a line hammer and a ruler. In the same layer, the joints of Henan Lite refractory bricks should be staggered according to the rules, the mud in the joints of the bricks must be plump, and the appearance must be tightly jointed. After the corner masonry is heated, the shrinkage stress is relatively concentrated, which is a thin part of the wall. The refractory bricks should be carefully processed and built to reach the staggered joints and joints. When the wall stack is built, the vertical joints of the upper and lower adjacent layers should be staggered. If the straight wall has holes with a width less than 450mm, bricks should be used to protrude layer by layer when laying bricks, and the protruding part of each layer of bricks shall not exceed 75mm; if there are holes with a width of less than 250mm, you can use processed bricks to build according to the drawings. . The uppermost layer of the wall should be adhered to, and can be leveled with processed bricks if necessary.

Masonry of arc-shaped walls: arc-shaped walls include circular walls and arc-shaped walls, which are commonly used in blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, iron furnaces, mixers, conversion furnaces and rotary kilns. The horizontal vertical seams of the arc-shaped wall are called radial seams, and the longitudinal seams are called circular seams. The arc-shaped wall mostly uses wedge-shaped bricks or special-shaped bricks, and the contact between the steel structure surface and the inverted arch surface should be carefully processed and masonry. The joints of masonry bricks shall be built according to the inner furnace shell. Set up a central pipe in the center of the furnace when building the wall, and the mud should be full when building.

When the masonry furnace top has an arc furnace roof, a ring furnace roof, and a hanging furnace roof, the vertical error of the shell center must conform to the rules, and the masonry of the arc-shaped wall can be based on the inner shell of the furnace roof as the reference plane. When there is a spray coating on the furnace shell and the size is accurate, the arc-shaped furnace roof (vault) must be built according to the arc of the arch axis, and the spray coating can also be used as the reference surface. The staggered seams of arc-shaped walls should be based on parabolic arches and catenary arches. Most of the arc furnace tops of industrial furnaces are circular arcs, and their masonry has the same requirements as the staggered joints of straight walls.
