When the refractory bricks are used for masonry, in order to achieve better results and make the masonry stronger, they need to be used with fire mud. So how should the fire mud be used? How should it be deployed?
One, the use of fire mud:
1. Use the corresponding fire clay for different refractory bricks and do not mix them.
2. The stirred fire clay should be used immediately, and the hardened fire clay should not be used again.
3. The mixed fire mud should be used up within 4 hours. The fire clay needs to have suitable viscosity and fluidity, so that the gap between the bricks is as small as possible (even less than 1mm). The fire mud on the refractory bricks should fill the entire surface to facilitate the formation of full expansion joints.
Two, the deployment of fire mud:
1. In order to make the fire mud have proper adhesion and better performance, water and high temperature binder should be accurately weighed and added according to regulations. The Baume degree of water glass is: 38°Be (≥1. 35g/cm). After mixing in a special mixing container, add water until the proper viscosity is obtained.
2. When preparing the phosphate-bound mud, ensure the specified trapping time, and adjust it as you use it. The prepared mud shall not be diluted with water at will. Due to its corrosive nature, this mud must not be in direct contact with the metal shell.
The correct use of refractory bricks and the correct deployment method are very important to the effect of masonry, so you must pay attention to it when masonry, and use it in strict accordance with the instructions. At the same time, different types of refractory bricks should also be used with reference to the allocation ratio of unused amounts.
